Steampunk Floral Skull

This piece is a combination of strength and femininity/beauty. The flowers sprout out of the skull as if was a vase, while the electronic elements are inspired by the steampunk style.

Steampunk Floral Skull can be found in the inspiring Tomate de Arbol, Issue 7 arts publication from Argentina. I’m on Page 36 :)

Artwork: Pride & Propaganda

Pride & Propaganda

Pride & Propaganda is inspired by the Gothic art of the 1400s and the counterculture rumblings of modern street art. Weapons (guns, bullets, and grenade) become design elements, framing the skeletal figure and visually unifying the piece. The point of this artwork is not to offend religious persons, but rather, an artistic expression–to show that propaganda is a form of advertising, and the largest vehicles are war and religion.

Skull & Bones

It’s (drumroll please). . . HALLOWEEN! Ta da!

Here’s a mixed media piece to celebrate my favorite holiday of the year. I’ve always loved Victorian scrolls and banner style, but thought it would be interesting to substitute certain artistic elements with insect legs and bone fragments–it’s subtle, but gory. Buahhaha! This was done in pen/ink, then scanned and colored/manipulated in Photoshop.View Larger Image.
