Inspired by the film “The War of the Roses”, this mixed media illustration is about the distress from love lost.

Journey of Charon is a mixed media piece (graphite with digital coloring), based on Greek mythology’s Ferryman of Hades. Charon travels in a canoe, giving his riders an intimate, uncomfortable experience into the underworld. The faceless figures add to the mystery of the piece.

Skeletal Piano is a mixed media piece inspired by the biomechanical style of H.R. Giger and Beksinski. The initial drawing was created on vellum with graphite. It was then scanned and colored in Photoshop.
This is an exploration of intricate patterns and skulls from Sherrie Thai’s sketchbook. Decor galore!
Sabertooth Lion Cub is a mixed media project exploring the darker side of art. You can see the initial graphite drawing devoid of color and gradients. There’s a distinct Giger influence, but I took some artistic licensing in the anatomy of the cub. He’s a little vicious, but a cutey.
My sketchbook is a personal art sanctuary: a place of meditation, simple wanderings, and exploration. This sketch was inspired by my trip to Mexico, complete with Aztec influences, mountainous terrain, and church steps.
Here is a random page from the sketchbook. Creatures sometimes emerge from the patterns. Take a closer look.
As it’s now December, Christmas will soon be upon us. I created Holly Reindeer to celebrate the occasion.
Inspired by the prints of Hiroshige, Mountain & Trees is a wintery illustration that would work well as an e-card. This was created with a few different brush and fine-tip pens. I’ve been exploring minimal color as an accent, not a crutch for the line-work.
Dragon Circle is an apparel design soon to be on Zazzle. This was another pen/ink drawing converted in Adobe Illustrator.
