As Christmas is coming, why not shop for good? The Rwanda Path to Peace Collection is available at Macy’s and several other small community centers.
After the 1994 genocide, Rwandan women found themselves with the task of rebuilding their lives and their country, as nearly 1 million of their countrymen were killed. The baskets offer nearly 4,000 female artisans the chance to attain a sustainable income through the project. The baskets run from $25 to $80. In its fifth year, the project is still growing. Here are some Christmas tree photos that could be used as backgrounds for both commercial and non-commercial/personal work. Simply click on the image and click on “All Sizes” to download various sizes. They are part of my Creative Commons library of free backgrounds. Enjoy!

Here’s another Christmas e-card with something we don’t really see in San Francisco–snow. View Larger.
As it’s now December, Christmas will soon be upon us. I created Holly Reindeer to celebrate the occasion.
Inspired by the prints of Hiroshige, Mountain & Trees is a wintery illustration that would work well as an e-card. This was created with a few different brush and fine-tip pens. I’ve been exploring minimal color as an accent, not a crutch for the line-work.
Dragon Circle is an apparel design soon to be on Zazzle. This was another pen/ink drawing converted in Adobe Illustrator.
